FOURTH ANNUAL ST PATRICK PARADE IN PLANNING

Posted on May 4, 2015 in Events by aohgreenville

IRISH PARADE SCHEDULED FOR 2016

The Harp and Shamrock Division’s first ever St Patrick’s street parade took place in March of 2013 passing through Greenville’s West End, circling the walls of Fluor Field and terminating at home plate with a flag ceremony marking the official opening of the Cara Club’s long standing festival, Return to the Green .

Since then we have worked to grow the number of participating units and diligently sought sponsors to cover the many costs of taking to the streets.  Last year’s parade captured Main Street while stepping up color, bands, the number of marching units and floats.

This year’s parade stepped off at 1:30 on Sunday March 8 in still greater proportions and reestablished our link to the Return to the Green Festival.  From Broad and Main, winding through downtown and the West End to terminate once more at Fluor Field and the Upstate’s favorite all
Irish for a day party, Return to the Green.

The pipes and drums are again calling you to the Fourth Annual St Patrick Parade striding up Main St to the Hyat Hotel on Sunday March 13 2016.

Those wishing to support, participate in, or know more of this 2016 joyful rallying of Celtic pride and U.S. patriotism are encouraged
to contact Tom Farrell at 864.630.1922 or tomfarrell317@yahoo.com.
